In Caraúbas, Rio Grande do Norte, 48-year-old Antônio N.R. was killed with machete blows to the head while standing outside a bar.



In Venturosa, Pernambuco, 42-year-old Manoel d.S. was found dead besides the BR-424 highway. He was found naked, and his head had been blasted open with shots fired from a 12-gauge shotgun.

According to the police, Manoel was well known in the region due to his extensive criminal record.




In Maceió, Alagoas, a man was killed with a shotgun blast to the head. No further info.


In Vitória do Jari, Amapá, a radio announcer, Naldo T., died from complications after being beaten by a robber with a piece of wood.

The attack had happened on May 12th, and occurred when Naldo refused to give two reals (38¢) to the robber. Immediately afterwards, Naldo recorded a video (video 1), showing his bruised face and detailing what happened.

Unfortunately, Naldo suffered from a necrotizing skin condition caused by the wound. His condition worsened, and he died on the 30th. By then, the robber had been arrested and attended a custody hearing - the charges have been upgraded to murder.





On the BR-232 in Jaboatão dos Guararapes, Pernambuco, a motorcyclist's brains ended up scattered on the asphalt after a collision involving several vehicles. The victim's motorcycle, a pick-up truck, a car, and a trailer were all involved.

According to police, evidence suggests that the motorcycle was travelling between lanes when it collided with the trailer. The motorcycle passenger was injured.

The man with the disfigured face should have taken antibiotics as soon as he suffered this trauma, but perhaps no one imagined that it could develop into necrosis.
