I've seen this before. After it's been cut up it's left out in the elements and for animals to consume especially vultures.

i agree with chris, its thier culture and nessesity, I mean if i hade to make the descion to let my family freze to death or burn my husband body i would rather save what I had instead of more poeple dying. I mean its ture too, its not like they are suffering they are dead and the same thing happens to someone whether cut up or 6 feet under. And it is an empty vessel anyway. its going to biodegrate anyway. simple I like this maybe in the us did this we wouldnt be so scared of dying b/c we are so scared of not being able to afford a burial anyway or who is going to drop 4 grand on a funeral.
