A young man in China killed his girlfriend after an argument and then shared a selfie with her corpse on Chinese social media site WeChat. Happened on 5th Sep, he was arrested the next day.

This is a picture of a wound being prepped for 'punch' type skin grafts. You can see the external fixation bars for correction of some serious broken bones so I suspect a crushing wound with a lot of tissue loss there on the ankle and foot - possibly after being run over by a car? With a wound that big the skin won't be able to grow over it effectively because it only grows from the edges. So for a wound like this, you take out 'punches' of tissue in the wound and replace them with 'punches' of skin taken from elsewhere on the body. That way the size of the graft you have to take is small and will heal quickly with minimal scarring. The little round skin grafts, if they take, have a lot of 'edge' for their size and will cover the wound quickly. Grafts like this usually have about a 50% take rate which is why they have so many.

Man in Brazil run over on September 16th and decapitated Due to motorcycle parts being found, it was concluded he was killed by motorbikes of people in the area who regularly bought crack. The man was homeless and had no ID. If no ID is made, police say he'll be buried in a pauper's grave.   |

In Brazil this man had appeared to have shot in the arm earlier that day, survived and had wounds dressed, and then was stabbed to death later in the day  |
