25 year old woman was walking in the plaza on Sunday morning when two men on a blue motorcycle buzzed up and tried to snatch her purse. She resisted for a moment but then, seeing that no one was coming to her aid, released her grip and let them rob her. Once one of the guys had the purse, the other shot her twice in the head at point-blank range. Then they sped off.

Interestingly enough, when police worked the scene a few minutes later, they discovered a large sum of cash (almost 1500 Brazilian Real) in the pocket of her shorts.

Currently being investigated as a robbery/homicide, but the presence of a big wad of cash may lean more towards a drug related murder. The world may never know.
