Prison Escapees Take Hostages + then Get Shot by Police
Yesterday (2nd October 2018) in Barra da Grota, Araguaína, around 20 prisoners escaped from a criminal treatment unit. The escapees were armed + took hostages, including 2 prison agents + a teacher. In some nearby woods, 10 of them were confronted by police + died in an exchange of gunfire.

So the group of orange clad individuals are the escapees and hostages? Is this a picture taken before their escape into the woods? Or are these other prisoners who weren’t involved? How many hostages died?  |

There's at least 2 of the hostages amongst them, wearing black clothes. No news article said that any hostages died.
