Pretty Young Woman is Shot Dead in Olinda, Brazil.
Woman is shot dead in front of her young daughters in Olinda (Brazil). According to residents, she would have her youngest daughter in her arms, and the criminal even asked her to leave the girl on the ground. Known as "Barbie", she was shot dead in the Salgadinho neighborhood, in Olinda, on the afternoon of Friday (24), february, 2023. According to witnesses, the victim was shot in front of her daughters, two children, and by a man who arrived and argued with her before the crime. Civil Police reported, by means of a note, that the victim was 25 years old, and that she died at the scene. |

Unfortunately, most likely nothing happens to the killer. According to official statistics, only 8% of the homicides that occur in Brazil result in someone being arrested.

That's a low percentage indeed  On the other hand, I have the impression that the police force there is rather corrupt and maybe not the most efficient, so it naturally reflects in the rate of solved crimes.
