Pregnant Woman and Man Shot Dead in Home Invasion, Altinho, Brazil, 2019

On November 30, 2019, at roughly 1:20 a.m., gunmen broke into a residence in Loteamento Novo Altinho, a subdivision of Altinho in Pernambuco's Agreste region of Brazil. Three occupants were shot in the head. One, a 24-year-old woman six months into her pregnancy, and another, a young man locally identified by a nickname, were dead at the scene. The remaining victim pretended to be dead, escaped with non-serious wounds and was transported to a regional hospital. The local press further reported that the gunfire's shock caused a fatal heart attack that morning in an 87-year-old man from the same street. Two suspects were detained. No motive was provided.

During the early hours of Saturday (30), a pregnant woman and two men were shot in Luiz Alberto Farias Street, in Loteamento Novo Altinho, in the city of Altinho and resulted in the death of the woman and one of the men.
