When determining the causes of decapitation, it must be noted that sudden deceleration can often mimic both extreme blunt force or sharp trauma. Extreme blunt force will almost always have extensive telling contusions and wounds throughout the body, but sharp trauma can be difficult to differentiate at times.

This case was caused by high-speed impact with a cable while driving a recreational vehicle:
