Thank goodness he made it! I've seen a stroke victim's brain first hand. Think of the damage to it as the same as the damage done to the heart following a myocardial infarction aka heart attack. An area of heart wall/brain is left paler in colour than the rest as a result of momentary blood & oxygen depravation. Stroke damage varies in size and colour depending on severity and how widespread an area is affected. |

The neurosurgeon said if you're going to have a stroke, he actually had it in the best place possible to have it, at the very base of the bottom of the brain. 6 years later, other than a scar and occasional problems with balance, you wouldn't know anything had happened to him. Thanks for the good "gladdings" as well. |
