Re: Possible Burn Victim

Being that he is intubated, I would be more apt to say burned.

Re: Possible Burn Victim

I'd say it's severe decomp. If there's moisture present around or on the body, decomp will be at a different rate than the dry parts.

Re: Possible Burn Victim

I would guess decomposition. That still doesn't get you to how he died. His head is strange though. Either he was lying face first down hill or there is trauma there.

Re: Possible Burn Victim

NGT still present.

Blurry pics, but check out the left ear, necrotic looking finger pads on right hand, the appearance of a massive interstitial fluid shift.

Rescued Fireman died on Op table from hypovolemic shock?

Looks like a mixture of burns and electric shock.

Could be wrong, but the victim does appear fairly fit, and perhaps earthed out an exposed cable whilst attempting escape/rescue?

Re: Possible Burn Victim

I'd say he was burned pretty bad, and you decompose a little faster in the parts that are not burned as bad.........looks like both.
