Porsche Cayenne Kills Three Pedestrians in Kremenchuk, Ukraine, April 2008
This crash happened around 1am on 5 April 2008 on 60 Years of October Street in Kremenchuk, Poltava Oblast, Ukraine, not Russia. A Porsche Cayenne S struck three pedestrians who were crossing the road, killing all three at the scene, then left the road and hit an electricity pole. The driver, 34 year old trading company director Leonid Nefedovych, was convicted of violating traffic safety rules causing multiple deaths and sentenced to six and a half years, a verdict upheld on appeal. The court found no objective evidence he was drunk, so the case was tried as a speeding offence rather than drunk driving. The three victims were not named in the reporting.

Re: Porsche Cayenne Kills Three Pedestrians in Kremenchuk, Ukraine, April 2008
A couple of things. I really doubt it hit at 129mph, if it had that pole would've been leveled. Sure it's concrete, but put up against a 129mph 4 ton SUV I REALLY doubt it would've survived. Plus 129mph in an offset collision like that would've cause a significant amount of deformation in the passenger cage. Also, SUV's lull people into a false sense of security with their size and insulation. Remember back in the 90's when people were saying their Ford Explorers weren't safe? Bullshit, they were driving stupid. That is exactly the case here. |

Sexy babe. Wonder if the first person on the scene had his way with her before calling the cops.

It looks like the car hit those three people first as they were trying to cross the road or just walking by the road and later the car hit the pole. And the two men in the last two pics are the driver and his friend in the car.
