A 31-year-old man has been charged with the murder of his mother, whose body was found in an apartment. According to the prosecutor’s office, the police were alerted by neighbours who saw a photo of a blood-covered woman on the suspect’s Facebook page.

According to the prosecutor, "The man was questioned twice - by the police and by the prosecutor. At the police station his statements were not very logical; before the prosecutor he did not plead guilty, stating that he had not been in the apartment and did not know what had happened to his mother."

Regarding the photo posted on Facebook, the suspect claims he does not know how it got there. The man had previously undergone psychiatric treatment and had been diagnosed with a mental illness. The prosecutor’s office will apply to the court for pre-trial detention, most likely to be served in a psychiatric hospital.
