A secretary for the local police department was assassinated in front of her home last night. She had just finished dinner and was standing next to the street in her front yard when 2 men on motorcycles came by and unloaded four shots at her. Several of them hit her, but she did not die instantly. Witnesses said that she started screaming and crying and tried to hunker down for cover, whereupon one of the assailants got off the bike and unloaded several more shots into her back at point blank range.

If it was some criminal who did time, which is a likely scenario, why the fuck attack the secretary?? I don't get it. Nice find though! =)

secretary is simply drawing a salary and doesn't really deserve it

Why? Well because he's a criminal. Sometimes they go for the family members too ..I remember a couple years back the Mexican marines had a funeral for one of their members who was involved in killing of a cartel kingpin , within a short time after that his whole family was killed even though he was already dead himself, I thought that was crazy when I first heard about that.

Yeah, sometimes these cartels will target family members, employees, acquaintances, to sort of warn off their REAL target.

Its a principle thing, Tiff.

Even in death we'll still pursue that also serves as an example for other officers. The cartels have laid down a thick, warm blanket of fear that everyone can feel.

Had this chick not been such a girl, screaming and carrying on she prob could of gotten away.

Depends. I knew quite a few ppl that have been shot. One took a sawed off to his side outside a club and didn't know he was hit till his friend noticed the blood on his back so (knock on wood) YES...and if I couldn't, I'd scream while getting the fuck outta there. She laid down allowing the killer to finish her.

Unfortunately, not everyone is friends with Chuck Norris. If you go back and look at the crime scenes of many massacres in the past decades (Columbine comes immediately to mind, because it was so meticulously documented, but the victim positioning was similar in many others), you'll see that many shooting victims did exactly what this poor woman did: fall to the ground crying and piss in their pants.

Sure, combat veterans or people with rigorous training might have the muscle memory to react appropriately in that situation, but your average secretary is most likely just gonna lie there and take it.
