John Lennon actually tried to sing like Bob Dylan in the song You Got to Hide Your Love Away.

Made no sense to me. John Lennon had a better voice anyway. Kind-of taking a step backwards, it seemed.

I never knew that but I can hear that song in my head and I see the Dylan influence. Dylan was quite an icon even back then, it doesn't surprise me that he was emulated by John.
