Well I guess I should have read farther. There's the true story, some of it. There was no bomb. The home was raided in the end by officers and the hostage takers were shot and killed. The standoff lasted a day and a half.

Just to clarify, the bomb in question was a percussion bomb, not a hand held pecussion granade. It was state of the art at the time. The police didn't intend to blow the place up, just incapacitate the captors. I can't remember all the details but I do know all of the captors were black and all of the captives were white.

The occupants were heavily armed. Sawed off shot guns and the works.

i doubt that... dude ive been living in memphis all my life... the people here are lazy...and it being north memphis back then?? right...
