Truth be known at least in my Family over the years many of the wakes were better than most of our weddings and in some cases they lasted longer.LOL
The thing about a wake I learned growing up was that at least in our familly it was not about a persons death it was about their life.
The women would make or bring the food and help with the kids and watch over the new widow if it was a man who had passed.
The men would gather and talk about the person who had died and sure enough stories would be told of of theirs and the deceased's exploits in life.
I don't mean to make it sound like a happy happy party because it was not.
However it was a way we dealt with death in a very matter of fact up front way and in some ways I think it was best that way.

Now on a more happy note lets talk further about that Jamieson flowing like water.
