It's something to do with the cost of a funeral pyre, the poor can only place their dead in the Ganji river (sacred to Hindu's) from where they believe their spirits can rise to Paradise.
Cremation = putting them in water?

indian people is disgusting, they use the same water on gangga river for throw up the dead, for wash dishes, clothes, bath, drink, n cook.....that's a fuckep up one.....
