Looks somewhat the same than the autopsy of John Kramer in the movie Saw IV

It just looks like a regular autopsy, so the Saw IV makers probably did a great job making that scene.

Great post, by the way. I'm thinking of becoming a pathologist myself.

Re: Photos Showing The Complete Removal Of the Brain

Hmm correct me if im wrong, but that brain looks odd to me...the brain seems to be extremely invaginated and many of the typical sulci are either missing completely or not as pronounced.
This kind of brain is consistent with one you would find in chronic alcoholics.
any other opinions?
You will surely enjoy the film "Pathology"

Re: Photos Showing The Complete Removal Of the Brain

I used to do that twice a day when I was a mortician. Surprisingly, it was one of the less strenuous parts of the post-mortem (autopsy). Hair wasn't removed like in neurosurgery, just parted where the incision line would be and I clipped it in place out of the way.

I'm no pathologist but that brain just looks congested with congealed blood. I'm not 100%!!

I was praised for being good at brain removal by the pathologist

Challenging & admirable career path and amazing to achieve!! You have to become a doctor first and then take it from there. Good luck!!

Re: Photos Showing The Complete Removal Of the Brain

You know what amazes me. These type of things the average person may find somewhat disturbing, yet these people (morticians and such) work with these types of things on a daily basis. I wonder how desensitized they are.

Yeah, I know, I just had that feeling
