Thanks for the post, i'm afraid it's some urban legend though: the tiger is a male, which makes nonsensical the whole story: a tigress catching the man by the neck to save him from threat would possibly make sense, but not a male tiger: also no forensic report of the incident that says the tiger was trying to save that man from stones thrown by on lookers exist: the story was made up by someone via social media and went viral, as reported by India.com. Maybe some think that there's the need to try to justify the behavior of the tiger, but it did exactly what it was supposed to do according to its natural instinct, the asshole invading its territory was in the wrong, that's all there is to it.

Actually, that "explanation" would not have been valid even if the tiger was a female. That a tiger would try to save a fullgrown human (which she has never even met before) from rocks thrown not only by onlookers, but also by the man himself, while he is threatening it by waving his arms around, is about as likely as a frog to become a prince when kissed. There's just no truth behind that explanation at all.
