A very poignant set of pics Chills creeped down my back when looking at those images. There she does the most everyday kind of things, eating, trying an outfit on, playing card, having a laugh...while being perfectly aware of what will happen to her very soon |

PRC used to execute for pornography and probably still do. 25 to 45 million people died under Mao. |

These went unpublished because the government was concerned of sympathy towards the executed inmates. |

Firing squad? You've got to be kidding. The Chinese are nothing if not efficient. One bullet, back of the head. Not a pretty sight.

Interesting. The guards were quite sociable with the inmates, I have never seen that before.

And China has the highest number of capital punishment executions annually (and has the second highest population as well); thus, the assembly line. If you look at the execution pictures, there are furrows in the dirt from a previous execution. Imagine looking down at a furrow and realizing that you are kneeling at the site of someone else who just lost their life. And in some cases, the executed are tranquilized prior to the execution to make them less likely to be "difficult" during the execution. The head shots of the past (and now lethal execution vans) are to expedite the transfer of organs to the recipient. From what I've read, the person is executed and the organs are removed while they are still in the van. I may not agree with the harshness of some capital punishment, but please recall that China had a significant problem with opium addiction during the 19th and 20th centuries. Ironically, the British introduced and trafficked opium into China as a means to obtaining tea, leading to the Opium Wars. |

So how many young people's lives were compromised by the drugs she smuggled. Death for drug dealers, hard drugs, I can get behind that.

Drugs kill people and ruin lives. Fuck yeah, you're a drug smuggler, you get what you get. And if she wasn't caught, she would still be ruining young lives.
