Re: Philippines - Dead Woman 5
The Espiritu and Galang families of Calumpit will be burying pretty 26-year-old Anria with cries for justice. Nearly 81,000 netizens on social networking site, Facebook, have also joined the call through the account, “Justice for Anria.” As her remains are set in a crypt at the Calumpit Municipal Cemetery, intelligence operatives of the Bulacan Police Provincial Office (PPO) will be on the hunt for a fourth suspect in her gang-rape and killing. Police have already filed rape with homicide charges against three arrested suspects – jeepney driver Elmer Joson, Ramil de Arca, and Melvin Ulam – before the Bulacan Prosecutor’s Office. Despite a witness positively identifying them and placing them at the scene of the crime, they have all maintained their innocence. Senior Supt. Ferdinand O. Divina, PPO director, said manhunt teams are looking for another jeepney driver reportedly seen a few days ago in Apalit, Pampanga. Bulacan Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado, who visited Anria’s wake last Tuesday, said justice will be attained soon and comforted her family with quotes from the Holy Bible and the condolences of thousands in the province. Probers said that contrary to Joson’s statement that Anria boarded his jeep and safely disembarked in Barangay Bagbag in the wee hours of morning last August 14, the victim was abducted and dragged into the jeepney of De Arca, alias “Bakulaw.” Joson, Ulam, De Arca and the fourth suspect then drove the victim to the rice field in Barangay Sapang Bayan in Calumpit where they allegedly took turns in raping her before stabbing and strangling her to death, investigators added. |

Re: Philippines - Dead Woman 5
frankly i dont accept the government claim that they already nabbed any of the suspects. never knew our government to act that quick and get results that fast. i will believe it more easily if someone says they just produced a likely witness and just picked the most convenient suspects they can find just to quell the news and mass effect. the case has been sensationalized so they must appear that they are doing and have done something about it. If it wasn't blasted to mediasites, the case would just be buried underneath more recent cases and forgotten.

Re: Philippines - Dead Woman 5
This seems the most likely story. It was obvious that she was raped by someone who knew she traveled home late from work, i didn't believe the rumour about it being a drug debt. Someone that looked after themselves so carefully wouldn't be stupid enough to take shabu.
