The second murder of the weekend in Caruaru, Brazil happened around 4pm on Sunday 24th August on the roadside. The victim, an ex-convict known as "Black" aged 26 years old was shot dead.

The victim's mother said her son was a drug user and used this route to go to the village to buy drugs and on that morning he was drunk as he drank whenever he liked to get high. She said that he had been arrested in the past accused of various assaults.

He was killed with several shots on the edge of the road and the police believe that people who had passed this route will have seen the murder and hope that they will inform the police.
