Re: Pedestrian Struck

The viscera is exploded out all the way to the other side of the road!

I just have to wonder, though....

I drive a truck for a living - one of those really big eighteen-wheelers. When fully loaded, I can weigh as much as 80,000 pounds. My truck is 70-feet long, 8-and-a-half-feet wide and 13-and-a-half-feet tall! How can you NOT see that coming?!? And being that heavy, you know that the engine is going to be as loud as hell, pulling all of that load. So how can you NOT hear it coming?!?

Oh well. I guess the inattentive, self-absorbed, distracted, intoxicated, idiotic people in this world are just going to keep on getting crushed!

...and continue to be more entertainment for us when they do!
You know I most def agree with you..semi trucks are so rediculously loud..if you don't have brains enough to get the hell out of the way.. well..guess somome will be scraping you off the ground with a spatula

No doubt!

Here's something important that people really need to keep in mind, too.

Those "No-Zone" posters, billboards and signs you keep seeing everywhere? They're no joke!

I am not kidding when I say a semi has got a 15-foot blind spot directly in front! We have a HUGE blind spot directly to our right, too! If a person on a bicycle gets into that blind spot and are not aware of it, then they are as good as dead if the truck has to make a right turn! If they swing directly out in front of the truck on their bike, and get into that frontal blindspot, they are equally dead! The chances of the driver seeing them are about nil!

Pay ATTENTION around big trucks! Or else wind up looking like this!

Re: Pedestrian Struck

+1 I drive a explosives truck and alway worried about people. I had a old lady change lanes in front of me the other day. When she got in front of me, she was gone. I slowed it down and she was back
