I doubt that someone kidnapped them for the simple fact that a kidnapper means business and both families knew nothing about them since they disappeared. A kidnapper would have contacted the familes or at least one and would have asked for a big amount of money just to release them. They would not just killed them and tossed them away.

There are sick fucks out there, who doesn't give a damn about ransom and
they kidnap people to torture them or making them as their (sex)slaves, reasons vary... If they try to escape, they'll be killed
But yeah, this is not the most possible option.

5 teenagers have been arrested (15 - 17 yo) that had involvement in this crime. Maybe more arrests will follow. But last news was 6 weeks ago.

it's a violent area as in the neighborhoods of the city during the first 46 days of 2015, 13 people have been executed. In January alone, five cases were reported nationwide and in February, there were eight executions.

3 or 4 were double homicides just like this one and there's often no motive found for the killings. often shot dead or suffocated.

Sounds like it. Does it really matter, though? I mean, is that any worse than killing over drugs or jealousy, or money? Once you've made the decision to take the life of another human being against their will, the rationale behind it all is just window dressing. You're a murderer whether you're killing them for fucking your wife, for a hit of crack, or for a tin of baked beans because you're starving. One reason's as good as another when your moral compass permits the action in the first place.
