electrical burns are the worst. i'm surprised he survived.

15 milliamps (.015A) will send the heart into defibrillation.
thats a high voltage burn tho.. probably 13.8Kv.. a standard urban transmission and industiral voltage. could possibly be more with the sheer amount of damage, but probably 13.8Kv

electrical burns vaporize the salts and plasma in the blood, instantly killing the appendage from the inside out.. once the blood vessels are fried, theres no hope for regrowth.

scary stuff. as an electrical engineer, it's good to know the dangers and outcomes of this sort of accident! epsecially before it's too late.
