Upon reflection of the scalp (inverting it in order to view the subcutaneous tissue) more recent and fresh bruises are able to be documented on this corpse of a young child.

to me it seems almost obvious that fire did that because your skull would act as a pressure cooker when exposed to extreme heat and you brain and other fluids would most likely boil up in side the skull leaving the blood there like that, pretty terrible way to go if you ask me
