Re: Old Cambodian Man Committed Suicide Today
My dad was found on his front over the telly. In rigor mortis. Not a nice sight. The police tried to stop me getting in but i pushed them out the way. Wish i'd never seen it now. His lip was stuck up like that too and looked pained.

Aww, that's awful matey, horrible that you saw that. I don't think I could handle seeing a dead body in real life, especially someone close. |

That's terrible you had to see that. I'm still haunted by the dead bodies I've seen. Even the people i didn't even know. Must be hard to find a parent like that. I'm sorry

I'm so sorry you witnessed this, that's extremely upsetting and difficult to cope with. My heart goes out to you. I've seen deceased relatives in bad condition and it's hard to block it out so I remember what they looked like in life. |

I saw my Papy on his death bed + I'll never forget, I was only a kid at the time (a few months short of 15 years old). He was such a proud + elegant man + it was shocking how much he had changed. It's been 20 years since he passed away + I'm still not 'over it', miss him so much. Feel so sorry for the people who've seen their loved ones dead. |

I'm sorry, yes it's really really bizarre how people change in death. And I HATE the phrase "get over it" In my mortuary days it was unreal seeing all these cadavers, some even titled people, on the table and they all looked nothing like the live shots. Just discoloured shells with their light switched off. Made us all aware of equality. |

Re: Old Cambodian Man Committed Suicide Today
Definitely, my Papy became a shell of his former self, it was (+ still is) heartbreaking. If you truly love someone I don't think you can ever 'get over it'. The people who tell other to do so, really have no clue. I still don't know how you've had the stomach for mortuary stuff, I couldn't handle seeing a dead body in person, let alone touching one. |
