Re: Not So Tough US Troops
Whoa when did I ever mention cockiness, or egotistical troops? There's a difference between dying for your country and dying because you were an idiot. Let me be clear for the final time: The fact that you go into war for the sole purpose of protecting your people says your tough, not because you think you are, or because you went in thinking you were going to be hot shit. My brother is suffering from the same shit you are, so I can understand. However, I wish you wouldn't assume random things.

Re: Not So Tough US Troops
Frankly our troops consider themselves professionals, and so should they. There is not a better fighting force in the world. Military and first responders know they are different. How many people run toward disaster? It is a demanding job. Most don't swagger, but if anyone should it is people like that.

Re: Not So Tough US Troops
Good post. Sure, the title might be offensive to some. But that doesn't influence on the photos. Muhaha @ double moral standards among you Americans. I could tell you some tales about who is responsible for what in this world, but guess that's a mission impossible out here. For a country that spend $ 3.500.000.000.000 (fact) on wars in the last ten years; you better all harden the fuck up. |

Re: Not So Tough US Troops
If your not in the u.s military, you can go ahead and shut the fuck up......nothing worse than a couch potato giving his opinion about soldiering. A real soldier doesnt care about your political beliefs, or your beliefs period, we get orders, we get the fucking job done, we die sometimes trying, that is all. Cunts. |

Re: Not So Tough US Troops
That is sort of debatable. We spend more our military than all the other countries in the world combined. Yet, we haven’t won a war since 1945. Vietnam kicked our ass. North Korea chased our invading asses out. We have been struggling for over ten years in our Middle East campaign of occupation against two of the weakest countries in the world. Our military is like the Chicago Cubs of baseball or Washington Generals of basketball. They just don't win very often. You can say they are the greatest, if you want, but I want to see them put one up in the win column first. |

Re: Not So Tough US Troops
You obviously havent taken US history yet...we won the gulf war in just 72 hours....dunno what more you want for a fast victory. Oh, and for as being the 2 weakest countries, Iraq had the 4th largest army in the world, they triple outnumbered us. We ousted 2 countries governments, Saddam and the Taliban regime.....which achieved our goal, take the fight to their front yard not ours. Let us not forget Panama....we overtook their dictator as well, and grenada. Korea is still at war with us, no peace agreement has ever been signed.

Re: Not So Tough US Troops
I “dunno” what you mean. Are you making fun of my “obvious” lack of education? You have heard the old adage about people in glass houses? Maybe I “havent” the same education that you have had, but you shouldn’t belittle me for it. I mentioned the money sucked up by military, not the troop numbers. Nevertheless, is there a country with more active troops than the U.S.? Not according to Wikipedia. That isn’t even counting the mercenaries we have hired, at great expense, to help this great fighting force. What is your source for the numbers you cite? BTW, are you comparing troop numbers to troop numbers or just army to army? A little disingenuous, no? Are you claiming that we have won in Iraq and Afghanistan? Then why are they still bleeding the country to death pay for these wars that are “over”? Why are we still there if they are over? Do you know that we are paying their resistance fighters not to attack our troops? So you point to destabilizing or over throwing a government as your proof of victory. Then in the war we won in “72 hours,” did we overthrow the leader of Iraq? You claim we achieved our goal to “take the fight to their front yard.” What does this mean to you? What fight with Iraq did we take to their front yard? You are just repeating the tripe of the American media. Don’t respond to this post unless you can answer the question that Cindy Sheehan chased the cowardly draft dodger Bush around the country demanding the weasel to answer. Do know the question to which I refer? What is the answer? Peace and love, Rain |
