She struck the “edge” of the truck bumper and it easily bent/folded inward.
The poor girl’s face next met the back trailer doors of the truck.
Must not have happened in US. Here since Jayne Mansfield died this way, now they have the Mansfield bar to prevent these types of horrible instances.

Must not have happened in US. Here since Jayne Mansfield died this way, now they have the Mansfield bar to prevent these types of horrible instances.
That bumper is called an ICC Bar or DOT bumper.

Go watch a few government test of numerous trailer manufacturers crash bars. They fail miserably. Only a few withstand high speed rear end collisions. The majority fold under. Those videos are interesting.

I was gonna say this! I passed an accident that just happened of a woman who did this exact same thing. Dead as dead can be. No bar saved her.
