No Information, but Lets Try to Guess
I'm going to say murder. You see the little cuts on her head? Take a look to the far left of the image. The scissors were left there. Not sure about the jaw issue, could be animals after the fact. Throat appears to be cut, the do-er probably did that first. Probably knew her, or knew of her at least. The bod has been repositioned. You sustain a massive throat injury like that and fall perfectly aligned like she is, plus it looks like the perp placed a rock under her head, sorta like a pillow. All things that would lead me to think he knew her and actually kinda felt bad about what he had done.. Just my opinions though, pics came with no info.

Re: No Information, but Lets Try to Guess
Going to guess she was killed at a different location, given the lack of blood on site, and was mutilated post mortem given there's not a lot of blood on clothes. Either that or she was dressed after the murder. Reason being is the face is pretty vascular and tends to bleed a lot from just a little nick let alone large pieces of flesh being removed like that. Also check out the bruising on her forehead.

Yea, I didn't catch that at first, it looks like she may have been hit pretty hard on the head with something.

Re: No Information, but Lets Try to Guess
It's hard to tell from the angles but it looks like blood is coming from the ears. That would be a good indicator of head trauma, but that blood could be from the mutilations. Also check out the clenched fist, stuff like that happens with head problems.

Re: No Information, but Lets Try to Guess
looks to me like it was definitely post mortem. Also look how there are little slice marks in the fat of the cheek. I think it was carved off just like a turkey. Maybe the killer saw Hanible rising and wanted to try some sauted cheeks. Aparently didn't find the taste to his liking hence the other cheek remaining. Or maybe just too much MSG. Chinese food anyone? I know I'm going to hell. I just couldn't resist.

Re: No Information, but Lets Try to Guess
After looking at this picture i don't think that massive cut on her face was caused by animals just by the fact that there is a lack of tooth marks anywhere near the wound. Moreover, the body was probably moved into that position quite quickly after the killing blow, as the back of her jacket is soaked with blood suggesting the body must have been there for some time allowing for the capillary action of the fabric to draw the blood into it. The flattened path of foliage near her body and that bit of blood splatter on the nearby bush may confirm this observation as well. Those scissors near her head are those you would use in suturing. Taken together I would say that she was thrown from an accident of sorts. The nature of the accident dragged her across the road (e.g. perhaps road rash?) and probably rolled down the side of the road into a ditch. She was probably with someone who cared for her as he/she moved her into that new position in attempts to suture her wounds. She/he did not succeed. |

Re: No Information, but Lets Try to Guess
i'm going with a motor accident , the small cuts on her face look like the ones you get when people go through car windows, the jaw does look like a road rash type wound or it could have been slice off with a sharp part of the vehicle apon ejection as there are no insects around the wounds, her skin is pretty normal coloured - so she's freshly killed which would rule out animals eating her face. I'm also guessing she died pretty much instantly. If it is murder its a very strange one as she's fully clothed, no obvious tears in any clothing to suggest a struggle, which would suggest she might know the attacker - but then why just remove a piece of her cheek? why make her look comfortable and peaceful? it doesn't make sense (not that most murders do anyway) to take the time to position the body in such a way just to put tiny puncture wounds on her face and remove her cheek.. most bodies are just 'dumped' as-is.
