Niger 6 French Humanitarian Workers + Their 2 Guides Murdered
On the morning of 9th August 2020 in Koure (Niger), 8 people were murdered by militants. 6 French humanitarian workers ("from the non-governmental organization “Agence d’Aide à la Coopération Technique Et au Développement” (ACTED)") had come to a nature reserve to see the giraffes. Unknown to them, militants had set up an ambush during the night. 5 of the workers, along with their driver + guide (both natives of Niger), were shot dead. The 6th worker tried to escape but she was caught + had her throat slit.
