Re: New Yorker Found Dead in a Cambodian Guesthouse Today
My ex dragged us to Vietnam last month. The hotel room fridge had a frayed cord and blew a fuse while he tried to plug it in. Could have easily electrocuted him. $300 in Canadian cash was stolen from my wallet that was in the room while we were away. If that could happen then my computer and passport could have easily been stolen too. The room was full of cockroaches and ants that would swarm your food and toothbrush if you left it alone for a minute. If I travel again I'd like to only visit countries where I speak the language, thank you very much. |

Re: New Yorker Found Dead in a Cambodian Guesthouse Today
It's just the accommodation that you ended up staying in. I've been to various parts of Vietnam several times (HCMC, Hue, Danang and Hanoi) and I've always had very pleasant stays in clean, well stocked international chain hotels. |
