Necklacing in Apartheid-Era South Africa
Necklacing was a form of mob execution in South Africa's township conflict of the 1980s, in which a petrol-filled tyre was forced over the victim and set alight, used mostly against black South Africans accused of collaborating with the apartheid state. The Truth and Reconciliation Commission identified Maki Skosana, killed in July 1985, as the first victim captured on film. These people are so backwards. Don't they know how bad burning tyres is for the environment? Somebody needs to help them embrace 'green' methods of torture and mayhem. If they don't act now there won't be anybody left for future generations to kill.
