Genival Paulino dos Santos, 37, was brutally bludgeoned to death with machetes and partially decapitated in the town where he lived in Santa Luzia do Norte - 27 km distant from Maceió.
The crime occurred in Babau Farm, the Town Quilombo. The victim had been missing since the morning of Saturday, March 3, when he had left the farm where he lived with his mother and sister - around 10am - to seek employment.
Genival's body was found by his mother in the early hours of Monday morning, with perforations in the neck from a machete. The family did not know who to attribute the brutal murder, once aware of any claims of enmity Genival.
Police officers of the 8th Military Police Battalion under the command of Sergeant Caesar, are on site conducting the first surveys of crime and are awaiting the arrival of experts from the Institute of Criminology and Forensic Medicine Institute.
The case must be investigated by police in Santa Luzia do Norte.
