The similarities between Israel and the Nazi Party are few and far between. The Nazi party wanted to wipe out an entire religeon, Israel just wants what was given to the Jewish people to, basically, get them off other lands.
The UK didn't want too many of them, the US didn't really want them so they came up with the solution to to steal some land (sound familiar, native Americans?) from a region with a minority and give it to another peoples to live in, thus getting rid of one probem and theoretically solving it. Where it went wrong is when the heavily Islamic Middle East said "whoa! we're not having that!". The UK/US thought that, as usual, the world would just go along with the whole colonialism thing and live with it.
Now, when you add to this equasion the fact that Islam is a religeon which instills the ideal that the world is for the taking (because Islam is THE way, not my own belief) it gets even more complicated.
The new Israelis (as there wasn't an Israel) then had the belief that the land was theirs, the Arab nation ( as they see it all as one) saw what they believe is their land taken and the UK/US saw that their own idea was in danger of being made a right old mess. For this reason, and this reason only the US has financially bolstered Israel (whilst the UK has dithered in a kind of Hugh Grant way.) Once the US realised the financial power Jews have they then re-affirmed their support (whilst here in the UK the dithering continued...).
I apologise for wittering, but the fact is that most Islamic countries have so many problems stemming from tribalism, and military megalomanics wanting the power rather than doing what is best for their people, are causing just one small branch of violence.
Israel is wanting to just carry on as if nothing is wrong, although they are giulty of some of the worst atrocities in recent history.
The Palestinians are doing what they believe will help them, and as the teaching of the Koran is that their afterlife is better than their mortal life, Israel is faced with a foe to whom dying is more important than living.
Neither will win. They will both continue killing the easiest targets, Israe will carry on using US weapons against women and children, whilst killing the occasional legitimate target, and the Palestinians will carry on strapping bombs to their bodies killing women and children. All this time, politicians will carry on making money in relative safety (save for the occasional "accident").
No better religeon, no worse. Just a never ending list of victims.
So, to go back to the similarities? Innocent victims, that's all.
