On May 20th, 2013, a man named Gary Stamp was arrested in connection with Jane's murder. A different man from Texas had come forward and confessed to helping Stamp dispose of the woman's body.

Gary admitted to the crime, but stated that he did not remember the victim's name other than it may have been "Anna." He reported that the two met in a bar which lined up with witness statements that put Jane at a drinking establishment that evening. Stamp died of cancer in police custody in 2014 before he could be tried.
