Foam does come out of person's mouth in many cases..
If a person swallows insecticide as a suicide or is forced to swallow it by someone, large amount of foam is emitted from mouth..

A victim of rabies..often froths from his mouth and dies in the same condition with releasing all foam on his pillow too..

A person bitten by a snake, gets paralyzed and is unable to breathe because of which his mouth emits foam..since he gasps for air and froths his saliva..

A person who has died of seizure will have foam around his mouth..

Drug overdoses also cause victim's mouth to foam..

Chemical poisons, if ingested, irritate the stomach and react with acids which come out as lot of foam from person's mouth..

If someone is strangled or choked..saliva drools out of his mouth

Drowning also causes it.

Probably vomited and it went into his lungs and he was so drunk he couldn't turn over to save himself. The foam indicates that there was liquid in his lungs.

He looks like every overdose death I've ever seen. It's a lot of foam/vomit for an OD. Perhaps the rot gut he was ingesting would cause that much gurgling.
