Intimidation tactics are used widely by the drug cartels in this war. Threat letters are often left on executed and mutilated bodies in neighborhoods throughout Tijuana. Three bodies with letters were found at 12:30am on February 11 in the neighborhood of El Rubi, in the area of San Antonio de Los Buenos. This body was among them, but is still unidentified. Letters were also found on the dead body of a corrupt police officer and a famous singer known for his lyrics about drug trafficking.
