That second photo is fantastic. The embrace, the nervous tension in the countenance of the croutching man, grinding his teeth to dust as his mind races, a cast of onlookers known only by their body language - some turning away, others standing relaxed, some holding others for reassurance, others launching into unsolicited explanations, the peanut gallery gawking from the wall - the confluence of the blood, dirt, and grass, the jarring cuteness of the Mario and Luigi flip-flops, the sea of fucking flip-flops, the ankle monitor on Yankee Doodle Da Silva. This picture has it all.
