This man was killed by hitting the right side of the head with a heavy stone. The assailent afterwards tried to slash his neck with a razor.

One can notice the postmortem nature of the wound. Was this was an over killing or foul play to mislead the cause of death?

He apparently thought that he could win 'rock, paper, scissors' by covering the rock with paper. He was obviously wrong.

On a side note, the neck wound looks somewhat superficial to me - although still very serious.

Neck wound don't look fatal. Probably was unconscious and bled to death. other wise, if he was conscious he could still stem the flow of blood and walk away to the nearest help.
