Murder Witness Silenced with Six Bullets
24 year old woman was peeling sweet potatoes on the side of her house when a pair of fellows on a motorbike approached from the road. The bike stopped just long enough for the passenger to unload an entire clip in her direction, then sped off. According to the PM, six of the bullets hit her and she was killed instantly amidst the spuds. The translation on the background circumstances was a little rough, but I think I got the gist of it. gatagato can usually clarify details if I mess them up, as his Portuguese is significantly better than mine. Anyway, the crime was what the news agencies referred to as 'burning the file.' If I understand this phrase correctly, it means that she was shot and killed as a way of tying up loose ends in some criminal enterprise. It came to light shortly after her death that she had been in the company of two men when they were shot and killed earlier this week. Police are following the theory that the same killers were responsible for both crimes. She left a 4 month old son behind. |

Re: Murder Witness Silenced with Six Bullets
Thank you for always taking the time to research and sharing, i don't know how many here appreciate it, but i know that i appreciate it for sure. Queima de arquivo's non-literal translation would be "execution of a potential witness", so most likely the men who killed the two dudes in her presence the day before thought that it was much better to leave zero witnesses. It's strange that they didn't kill her the day before along with the other two. |

Re: Murder Witness Silenced with Six Bullets
Apparently the mysterious (and busy) two motorcycle killers do not like sweet potatoes and are not afraid of letting that be known. |
