At around 11.30am on 10th October 2013, a murder occured in Santo Antonio do Jacinto.

35 year old Vagno Júnior Oliveira Jardim broke into the house of his ex-wife, 32 year old Creonice Gonçalves Colares. He took her to a room, locked it + started to stab her. Creonice was yelling + screaming for help. Her mother managed to break the door open + found her daughter lying on the floor. Creonice succumbed to the 32 stab wounds she had received.

After Creonice had died, Vagno started to stab himself. He was rescued by an ambulance crew but died on the way to hospital.

Creonice lived with her parents + 2 small children (who managed to flee the place).
