Are those scissors still stuck in the legs? The wounds could have been caused by some power tool, like a large dremel or a high-powered boring tool. |

not that rounded and intact, very much more likely stabs, some smaller blades give that effect as the skin naturally eases open because of death. The scissors could have been a weapon - it would make those shapes. An icepick would also make that shape. Screwdrivers, just about anything.
