Multiple Deaths
No info  On 1st January 2018 in El Seibo, 28 year old Benjamín de los Santos stabbed his girlfriend 29 year old Ingrit Carmelin Ciprain de la Cruz + then hanged himself. Ingrit was taken to the hospital but succumbed to her injuries.        On 1st January 2018 in Villa Altagracia, Elizabeth Veras Lachapelle died in an accident. She + another woman were crossing the road when a car hit them. Elizabeth died on the spot + the other woman was taken to the hospital. Whilst Elizabeth's body lay in the road, members of the community blocked traffic + protested as they had been asking for several months for a pedestrian crossing to be put there. So many people had already lost their lives there.     On 9th January 2018 in Puerto Plata, the body of 16 year old Marcos Abreu was pulled out of the water. He had gone missing in the water 2 days prior.     No info  No info  |

I've seen candle light vigils but never seen one around the body just left there all messed up.  |
