Motorcyclist Transporting Lumber Wood Killed by His Own Heavy Load
This is the third motorcyclist (from the same town near the cambodian/vietnamese border) that died transporting lumber wood. Apparently it's a lucrative business but police warn that transporting wood weighing up to 700 kilos is extremely risky. The 25 year old leaves a wife and one child.   |

If you look at the bike, there is a vertical post at the front end, with a flat top. I assume there was another one at the back axle. You just pull up with your bike, hold it steady while they lay the lumber on your overhead rack (You are crouched down over the bike so you can just barely see) and off you go to fame and fortune.....and OH SHIT! I guess that wasn't that good of an idea. During the Vietnam war, the Viet Cong moved hundreds of pounds of material on their bicycles. The bike was loaded up, and the driver just walked along side and steered his load. It was sport bicycling for people who like to walk. But they didn't carry anything NEAR this weight. |

Can't imagine ever being desperate enough for money to want to try that. Surprised the bike's tires don't explode as soon as the lumber is placed on it.
