Motorcyclist Decapitated On the Brazilian Highway
The body of a man, 20, was found decapitated on the SP-501 highway in São Paulo state. There is no official explanation as to how the death occurred. The area of highway where the incident occurred has no cameras. The victim's head was found 30 metres away from the rest of the body. A man who identified himself as the victim's employer said that the victim worked as a bricklayer. Meanwhile, according to the victim's brother, the deceased had another brother who was in prison who had "sworn an oath of death on their family". Police believe the most likely scenario was that the biker was struck by a heavy vehicle which had fled the scene. The cause of death was given as cranioencephalic trauma and decapitation. According to the police, "At this moment, there is no evidence to affirm nor to exclude homicide or being run over, it will depend on the investigation. The dragging injuries on the body, usually seen in hit-and-runs, and the absence of internal trauma in the abdomen and chest suggest a hit-and-run accident."    |

another reminder of why i shouldn't even ride anymore. although some of these countries have basically zero traffic laws compared to the US, which is why we see such a huge number of traffic fatalities overseas. Namely in developing/3rd world nations. |
