No they shouldn't. That might kill the shark because of the pesticide she ingested. However, she had no right to take the lives of her kids. But maybe she was thinking they wouldn't survive without her or she did it to get back at the dad for leaving her. Whatever the reason it's a really awful story. Interesting, but awful.
