Actual real, clinical depression is a fucked up thing. And it makes people do fucked up things. People who claim they cannot fathom actions such as this are likely fortunate enough to have never been so cripplingly mentally ill that everything on all sides seems utterly hopeless and riddled with despair.

I'm not justifying or exonerating her actions. But realize that most people who do this are not in their 'right mind,' but suffering from a serious disease.
