Mother And Daughter Both Fatally Electrocuted
A tragic accident occurred on 7th September in Brazil. A 26yo married mother of two was out in the back garden doing her routine housework. As she was trying to hang up a bed sheet a gust of wind blew the sheet onto nearby barbed where where it got stuck. Running through the barbed wire was a power line. As the victim tried to retrieve the sheet, she was electrocuted and killed at the scene. Tragically, her 6yo daughter saw her mother on the ground and naturally went over to see what was wrong. The current was still running from the cable through the mother and so, the little girl was also killed.         |

It was an electric barbed wire, or a power line running through a fence or something? I'm confused....or was she hanging the blanket on a wire that crossed a power line? Either way, that really sucks. I was electrocuted by my drying machine last year, fixing the turn knob....it was a pain up my arm I wont forget...  |

Sad to see such deaths but someone is to be caught hold off for putting that powerline through barbed wires.

possible irony is the husband installed those electrified barbed wire for his wife and daughter's safety while he is away.

Aw, that's sad. Fun fact: "Electrocute" means to be killed by electricity. People often use the word to describe being shocked, but surviving. It's correct application is only used when the person/living thing is killed by the electricity.  |

Incredibly sad But part of me does think that perhaps it wasn't the worst thing that the child died with her mum. What if she had no-one else to look after her? Though that might be jumping to conclusions.. still, the pain of losing your mum like that so tragically would be a horrible thing to have to get over as a small kid like that. Poor thing. |
