It is indeed Mary Sullivan, the 19-year-old last victim of the Boston Strangler. Unfortunately, I believe the autopsy report said that the sexual assault with the broom preceded death. |

This damn photo is going to haunt me for the rest of my life. It's one of the earliest gore type photos I remember laying eyes on and the only thing I know about it for sure is that it is NOT the work of the Boston strangler, Robert DeSalvo, or the hillside stranglers in California. I've read a lot of info on those murders and this picture is not officially attributed to either strangler crime spree. |
